EDGE OF REASON (poem)

She eyes
the intricate tracery:
slender transparent inner-wrist.
Mulls over a second
but doesnt wanna give
any headway to thought.
Bosom heaving.
Due not to fear.
Due more to thrill.
an addiction
so intense,
couldnt care less.
The sharp silvery steel
gleams with pride.
places, marks, swipes.
Painlessly, like
warm knife on butter.
She closes her eyes,
visualises instead.
The free flow.
electrified she feels.
The shame escapes
and drowns in ecstasy.
