MY FIRST KISS

By the drowning sun,
As waves crash by our feet.
She leans by my shoulder
As my heart misses a beat.
I coerce my nerves to stay,
Run my hand through her hair.
I slide my face by her.
More than I could ever dare.
As our lips pucker for a kiss.
I do what most would dread.
I burp right at her face
And I shouldn't have eaten garlic bread.
I have now learned from my mistakes.
But I live with a lonely heart.
And whenever I feel 'that' urge,
I let out a silent fart.
